Eastford Building Supply has been providing Northeast Connecticut and the surrounding area with quality material and superior service for over 60 years. Originally founded in 1950 in order to supply a local contractor with material, the business quickly grew into a full-service building supply company designed with contractors and homeowners in mind. By 1960, Jack Hopkins had bought the business; Eastford Building Supply was born and has been going strong ever since.
After managing the business for 2 years, the torch was passed to Ray Bergeron in 2005, who is now the present owner. Although the business had changed hands, the core philosophy remained the same and still holds true to this day: We constantly strive to provide our customers with superior quality materials and a high level of service at a fair price. Jack and Ray crossed paths again within the lumber industry when Mr. Hopkins, 1990’s LDAC’s Lumber Person of the Year, introduced 2017’s Lumber Person of the year, our own, Ray Bergeron.
From our one store in Eastford, Connecticut, we serve an area extending from Rhode Island and Massachusetts to the Hartford area and the Connecticut coastline. Nearly anything you need to build your house from the foundation up can be found here – framing, sheathing, siding, decking, windows, doors, moldings, insulation, cabinets, trusses, roofing, and more. We’re a full-service yard with an experienced staff that can help you with your project needs; including material take-offs from plans, engineered lumber and span calculations. We also are proud to partner with Benjamin Moore Paints.
The products we stock are here because we listen to our customers and try to provide them with the highest quality materials possible. We appreciate feedback on our products and service, which we rely on to constantly improve our business.
